Final Cut...nearly
We've nearly finished off doing our final cut - finallyyyy. =]
Since the rough cut we have gone out and filmed the final section of the video with Dan running from the police as well as some more shots of the front man in the band. These I felt were filmed much better than the old footage we had mainly due to more efficient use of the tripod and through the experience we've had during this project.
This is how each of us feel about the video:
Alex: Now that the video is finished, I can look back on how well it went, anything we could have done differently and what i feel about it. Firstly i like the footage in the car park, i think the location suited the genre well. It is fairly obvious that we were still not 100% on what to DO in our video; we clearly had too many ideas and were not able to include them all, or how we could have collaborated. I am really pleased with the band shots and the crowd. I like the chaos and violence we used too. However I am not convinced that the narrative was as good as it could have been. Perhaps if we had spend more time on it, or changed it completely to something better suited, it would have worked better.
Tom:
Josh: I'm quite pleased with our final cut but we feel it's very unclear what is going on, our constant change of ideas is really apparent in the video. I still really like the location we used though and also think that the colour correction which gave the video a more metallic and cold feeling suited it really well.
